Cottonseed oil is produced in the process of cold pressing. Unfortunately, in the form of a liquid, it does not have the characteristic smell of cotton. It is light, light yellow. It can be used in the kitchen, but beware - only in refined form. Refined oil is widely used in the production of processed foods - it significantly extends the shelf life. We can find it in chips, mayonnaise, salad dressings and dressings.

Cottonseed oil - for skin and hair

Cotton seed oil regenerates the epidermis and moisturizes the skin. It softens, tones, has a slight anti-inflammatory effect. It can be used on the skin and face. It does not clog pores and does not contribute to the formation of blackheads.

It contains unsaturated fatty acids - linoleic and oleic, the total content of which can be over 75%. It also has palmitic acid and tocopherols, strong antioxidant compounds.

Linoleic acid is very often found in skin care cosmetics - moisturizing creams and lotions, including those for mature skin. It is also used in anti-dandruff shampoos.

Cottonseed oil also contains a high concentration of vitamin E, which also has a positive effect on the skin. It accelerates the healing of wounds, supports the treatment of psoriasis and ulcers. Vitamin E also delays the aging process of the skin.
