Magnetic eyelashes Is it worth it How to put on and take off magnetic eyelashes

Magnetic eyelashes can be easily purchased at most drugstores and put on without the help of a professional. They are cheap, application does not require glue, all you need is a free moment and nimble fingers. But magnetic eyelashes also have disadvantages. Is it worth buying them and are they better than false eyelashes worn at a beautician? How to put on magnetic eyelashes and how to remove them correctly?

Magnetic lashes look just like any other false lashes. But in one box there are not two, but four strips - two for each eye. We attach one of them above our lashes, and the other one just below them - in such a way that our lashes are in the middle. What's all this for? Both strips hold on thanks to magnets, small but in a good product strong enough to hold the eyelashes in one place for a long time. How to put on magnetic eyelashes? Seemingly, the application is simple: you just need one strip above the upper lash line, and the other - from the bottom, starting from the inner corner of the eye and gradually moving the strip towards the outer corner of the eye. However, at the beginning it is not as easy as stated in the manual: achieving a natural effect requires at least a dozen attempts.

You can see how to do it in the video below:

The advantages of magnetic eyelashes are obvious: they do not require the use of glue (traces of which are often visible on the eyelashes and eyelids, and to which many people are allergic), they also do not need to be refilled at the beautician every month. They are also relatively cheap (packaging costs from a dozen to about $50). They are durable and do not damage natural eyelashes. After getting into practice, they can be put on within a few seconds. But magnetic eyelashes also have disadvantages. The most important thing that you can read about on beauty forums and blogs is that their application has to be learned, because without it it is difficult to achieve a natural effect: poorly applied, they give the face a bizarre effect. It is also difficult to match their length to the type of beauty: it is not so rare that the eyelashes emphasize the eye too much after application, they seem too thick, which gives an unnatural effect.

The magnets can also be a disadvantage: if they are too weak, the eyelashes may shift under the influence of eyelid movements or wind, which also does not add beauty. And if they are too strong, they are hard to take off. Some of their users also complain that they are uncomfortable - they feel that there is something in the eye that weighs down the eyelid and gives a feeling of discomfort.
