Five Easy Steps to Beating Cellulite

Cellulite is not only a cosmetic problem, but in an advanced stage - health. Act comprehensively to restore skin smoothness.

When unevenness and lumps appear on the so far smooth skin of the thighs, hips, buttocks or abdomen, it is a sign that you have not missed cellulite. Most adult women struggle with it (some specialists estimate that even 90%), but it also affects young girls (about 12%). The main blame for it lies with estrogens, which is why cellulite appears during hormonal turmoil - during puberty, during pregnancy, as well as using the contraceptive pill or hormone replacement therapy. Estrogens increase the permeability of blood and lymph vessels in the subcutaneous tissue, creating local swellings that press on the surrounding cells, especially fatty ones. They are less oxygenated and less cleansed of metabolic products, therefore fatty substances accumulate in them and cells can increase their size up to ten times.

With time, local inflammations also develop, which end with fibrosis of the connective tissue. The changes accelerate when the blood and lymph circulation is disturbed for some reason (e.g. a sedentary lifestyle, a diet promoting weight gain and constipation). The effect is a skin resembling an orange surface, and in a more advanced stage of cellulite it is compared to a mattress - full of hollows and lumps. It doesn't look pretty so try to change it. But don't count on easy and quick success. To restore the skin smoothness, it is not enough to apply anti-cellulite lotion and wait for a miracle. You must act comprehensively and be patient.

The treatment enables the treatment of the advanced stage of cellulite. Massage with a special apparatus stimulates skin tissues and stimulates microcirculation. Due to lymphatic drainage, fluids are removed from the body more easily. First you need to put on a special suit that covers the body from the feet to ... the neck. It is not easy because it is very tight. Then, with a head equipped with two movable rollers, the beautician performs a full body massage in a precisely defined sequence. It regulates the suction power depending on individual sensations and needs. It is more felt in cellulite-affected areas and on the inner parts of the arms and thighs. After the treatment, the beautician applies a nourishing balm all over the body - the energized skin will absorb it well. You should drink more to replenish your fluids. After a series of 10 treatments (preferably every other day), cellulite is reduced by one degree! The elasticity of the skin is also improved. But just one treatment is great for lymphatic drainage, it brings relief with "heavy legs". The procedure takes about 40 minutes and costs $1600 per series.

The treatment is based on cosmetics containing substances that accelerate the reduction of cellulite and block the growth of fat cells. On the skin cleansed with peeling, the beautician places an ampoule with an anti-cellulite preparation and a gel that facilitates the conduction of ultrasound. Then it runs over the skin with an infrared head - fat cells are heated and their contents liquefied. Then the head is replaced with ultrasounds that help remove fat. The treatment is very pleasant, it smoothes and firms the skin, and the 6-10 series visibly reduces even advanced cellulite and shapes the body. The procedure takes 60 minutes and costs $350.

Its purpose is to revitalize the microcirculation and remove toxins from the subcutaneous tissue. If it is to do this well, it should last about 20 minutes. It's best to do it after a bath or shower, when the skin is warm and the blood vessels dilate. Massage your body with a glove or rough washcloth in circular movements - from the ankles to the groin, then the abdomen, hips and buttocks. Use your fist to knead the cellulite areas, but don't do it too hard or you will bruise it. Pinch or grasp a fold of skin with both hands and twist them in opposite directions. Special massage brushes with rubber points are also perfect. This evening treatment will prepare the body for anti-cellulite cosmetics, which will additionally raise the temperature of the skin, stimulate metabolism in its lower layers and facilitate the breakdown of fat cells. It is good to use such cosmetics during the massage.

The choice of anti-cellulite preparations is huge. They contain substances accelerating fat burning (e.g. theophylline, caffeine, carnitine), strengthening and sealing the walls of blood vessels (e.g. arnica, routine, asiatic pennywort), improving circulation (e.g. Japanese ginkgo, ivy, melilot). Some companies offer whole series consisting of several preparations (e.g. bath salt, peeling, intensive serum in ampoules), the ingredients of which complement each other and increase the effectiveness of the treatment. There are also cosmetics specially designed for day and night use, which work according to the daily rhythm of the skin.

Movement improves blood and lymph circulation, speeds up the metabolism and facilitates fat burning. Any type of movement will do the job (obviously it's not about shopping or cleaning the apartment). You can walk, run, swim, bike, stretch - it all depends on your preferences and condition. But you can choose the type of exercise that will help you get rid of cellulite in certain parts of your body. So if you have a problem with the orange peel on your thighs and buttocks, do squats and half-squats with the ball between your knees, sideways and backwards for example. When you want to get rid of cellulite on the belly and hips, it will help you with this, among others. doing sit-ups, exercising bikes and scissors in a lying position, bends. Whichever form of exercise you choose, you need to train regularly, at least every other day for 30-40 minutes.

Although both fluffy and very slim women struggle with cellulite, doctors have no doubt that overweight and an irrational diet favor it in a significant way. Rapid weight loss is also harmful, and even more frequent weight fluctuations, because it causes the skin to lose its firmness. Therefore, without making changes to your diet, you won't achieve much. First of all, it is advisable to definitely limit salt (it causes water retention in the tissues and swelling), coffee (stimulates the appetite, increases the level of cortisol, which promotes the accumulation of fat in the abdominal area), sweets and fast food (fattening). You also need to reduce the amount of animal fats (they easily turn into adipose tissue) and white bread (a source of caloric simple carbohydrates). The list of products desired in an anti-cellulite diet is much longer. These are vegetables, fruits, cereals, dark bread (they provide, among others, fiber - inhibits the absorption of fats, and B vitamins - they affect the metabolism). Fish, vegetable oils, nuts, seeds and seeds are valuable components of the diet (they provide omega acids, which accelerate fat burning). It is very important to eat meals regularly (4-5 times a day), but in small portions, so that the food is digested faster. In addition, you need to provide yourself with about 2.5 liters of fluid every day to facilitate the flushing of toxins from the body.

Store and pharmacy shelves are full of oral preparations to fight cellulite. They are usually compositions of plant extracts (including algae, green tea, citrus, Ginkgo biloba) and omega acids, vitamins and compounds supporting fat metabolism in the body (eg L-carnitine, CLA). Of course, you can't count on taking a pill or drinking a vitamin cocktail and waking up the next day with perfectly smooth skin. But you can be sure that such a preparation - if you take it regularly, usually for 2-3 months - will help you get rid of cellulite and shape your body. Their task is to strengthen capillaries and lymphatic vessels, improve microcirculation, accelerate metabolic changes in adipose tissue, and finally increase the body's endurance to exercise.
