The Most Important Foot Care Rules

It is worth taking care of your feet not only in summer, when we put them on public view. Foot care is also important during the colder seasons. A few moments spent on your feet will keep them smooth, soft and will not sweat excessively. Here are ways to get beautiful, well-groomed feet in winter.

Winter is a hard time of the year for the feet. Warm socks and shoes protect against the cold, but tightly hugging the legs, they deprive them of fresh air, and thus make our feet sweat more than usual. Try to get your feet in the best shape possible. It is not difficult or time consuming at all. You just need to follow 4 basic rules every day.

Removal of excess epidermis

In winter, when we wear heavy, insulated shoes and our feet alternately freeze and overheat, the epidermis becomes horny and becomes too thick. It is best to get rid of excess epidermis by regularly caring for your feet. Start with a softening bath for your feet. Once a week, prepare a foot bath with warm water with the addition of olive oil, bath salts, moisturizing oils or antiseptics available at orthopedic footwear stores or herbal drug stores. After several minutes of soaking the feet, start removing the epidermis. A foot grater with eyelets, a grater with sandpaper or a foot scrub will be useful for this. A sawmill with eyelets is much stronger and more invasive, so it cannot always be used. It is much safer to deal with sandpaper or a strong peeling.

The main mistake made by the overzealous is to eliminate the epidermis too often and too much. This practice has the opposite effect. The epidermis removed too often grows faster, and the skin broken as a result of strong friction is susceptible to fungi and bacteria. Therefore, it is best to be moderate. Remove the epidermis regularly, on average once a week or a week and a half, not more often. You will notice the effects of such treatments very quickly.

Dry skin care

Even smooth and soft feet need to be properly nourished and moisturized. Most creams, which are given such tasks, smooth, moisturize and nourish the feet for 24 hours, making their skin firmer. Perform the procedure every evening

A way to deal with cracked heels

When your heels have a tendency to chapping and cracking, and in addition, the epidermis on the heel grows quickly, rub a softening cream on your feet every day after evening washing. In its composition you will find, for example, jojoba oil, avocado, sage herb extract. For extremely hard and quickly cracking heels, it is worth using an ointment and cream based on deer tallow, beeswax, paraffin, and almond oil.

Excessive sweating of the feet

Before putting on socks or tights, spray them with deodorant or use a powder. Preparations available on the market refresh and protect the feet from unpleasant odors for a long time, usually they also contain antibacterial ingredients. It is also worth taking care of shoes. In order not to let the unpleasant smell of sweat penetrate them, you need to change them every 4 hours or use a shoe spray that eliminates the unpleasant smell and has an antifungal effect.
